Call for Papers – Inaugural issue
The Journal of Nation-States and Area Studies (JEIR) invites submissions for it's inaugural issue. As an international peer-reviewed academic journal, JEIR aims to provide a scholarly platform for the analysis of contemporary international transformations and regional dynamics.
The journal welcomes original contributions addressing global developments, in-depth regional studies, and political, economic, social, cultural, historical, and educational dimensions of states and regions.
Articles are published in English of French.
Submission Requirments
Manuscrits must be submitted in Word format (.doc ou .docx).
Authors are required to submit separately:
- a curriculum vitae
- a signed declaration confirming that hte manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- La confirmation qu’elle n’est pas soumise simultanément à une autre revue ou maison d’édition
Each article may have no more than two authors.
Peer-Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process. If an article is accepted in principle, authors will be asked to revise their manuscript in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments within a specified timeframe.

- Original title + translation into French or English, depending on the article language

- Maximum 250 words
- 3 to 5 keywords, lowercase, right-aligned

Articles written in English must include abstracts in English and French.
Articles written in French must include abstracts in French and English.
Main Text
- Times New Roman, 12pt
- Line spacing : 1,15
- Length : 5 000 to 10 000 words, including references, notes, tables, and appendices.
- Structured using hierarchical numbering : 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., etc.
- Headings et subheadings clearly indicated (gras recommandé)
Quotations
- Short quotations : included in the main text
- Long Quotations (more than two lines) :
- italicized

- Separated from the main text by one line

Bibliography
The bibliography should include only works cited in the article and be arranged alphabetically and chronologically.
